Ask any Hampton Roads driver and they’ll tell you that crossing a bridge or driving through a tunnel during rush hour is a slow go.   The obvious answer to this daily dilemma is to build roads that can handle the volume.  But when these projects come up for bid, who’s on the lookout to ensure minority businesses get their piece of the transportation pie? What help is out there for these often underutilized businesses? On the next Another View, we’ll discuss the region’s transportation problems and explore the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) and what it’s doing for black businesses.  Please join us when we talk transportation with State Senator Yvonne Miller, Prescott Sherrod, Tamara Poulson and Shelia  Johnson.  We’ll also take you on a walking tour in Colonial Williamsburg that doesn’t hold back when it comes to the plight on the slave in early Virginia.  It's all on Another View, Thursday, October 8 at 9P on WHRO-TV, digital 15.1.
