When was the last time you read the New Journal and Guide?  Not familiar with the publication?  It's been in existance for 109 years, chronicaling the comings and goings of the African-American community in Hampton Roads.  Are you familiar with any of the 200 or so black newspapers being published each week in this country?  As with many mainstream newspapers, the black press is struggling - circulation and advertising are down - but now there are those who question the relevance of the black press.  Join us for a robust discussion of the black press in America today with Brenda Andrews, publisher of the New Journal and Guide, Dr. Wanda Brockington, Chair of NSU's School of Mass Communications and Journalism, and Dr. Cathy Jackson, Assistant Professor with NSU's School of Mass Communications and Journalism.  Plus, how one family is paying tribute to a pioneer in the African-American community.  It's Another View, Thursday, July 30 at 9 on WHRO-TV, digital 15.1.

Alzheimer's Disease

Nutrition and the African American Community

Positive Young People
